Bhubaneswar: With the opposition parties attacking on the Naveen Patnaik Government for not doing enough to prevent dengue outbreak in the State, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will review the situation at the State Secretariat today afternoon here.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Housing and Urban Development Department Minister Puspendra Singh Deo, Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi, Secretaries of Health and Family Welfare and Housing and Urban Development Departments will attend the meeting.
The Chief Minister will take stock of the spread of the vector borne disease at 5.45 pm at the Secretariat.
Meanwhile, three persons have died of dengue with the situation still alarming in Jagatpur industrial estate in Cuttack district and Barbail in mineral-rich Keonjhar district. The number of dengue positive cases also rose alarmingly with detection of 97 fresh cases on Monday. So far, 1,574 persons have tested dengue positive from 24 districts, Keonjhar being the worst hit with 924 cases followed by Cuttack with 368 cases.
