Health authorities say that there has been an increase in the number of cases of Dengue reported in the Sabaragamuwa Province.
Director of Health Services of the Sabaragamuwa Province Dr. Kapila Kannagara stated that 1500 cases of Dengue were reported from the Ratnapura District and 800 cases were reported from the Kegalle district.
Consultant Physician of the National Dengue Control Unit Dr. Prashila Samaraweera, said that 25,000 cases of Dengue have been reported from across the country during the past few months.
