72-year-old woman dies of dengue


SINGAPORE: The Ministry of Health (MOH) and the National Environment Agency (NEA) said on Saturday (Jul 16) that they have been notified of the death of a dengue patient at Changi General Hospital (CGH). 
In a joint media statement, the agencies said that the patient was a 72-year-old Singaporean woman who lived at Simei Street 1. She was admitted to CGH on Jun 22, but her condition deteriorated and she died on Jun 25.
This is the sixth reported dengue death in Singapore this year.
In their statement, MOH and NEA said the patient lived at Simei Street 1, which was an active two-case dengue cluster that was notified on 25 June 2016.
